Neurologist Steven Laureys holds the Canada Excellence Research Chair in Neuroplasticity at the CERVO Research Centre at Université Laval, is a Research Director at the Belgian Scientific Research Fund, and is a lecturer and author. He is internationally recognised for his scientific studies of consciousness and human cognition.

With his teams, he explores the neuroanatomy of the human mind, our thoughts, perceptions and emotions, using the latest brain imaging technologies to assess cranial trauma, sleep and dreaming, meditation and hypnosis. 

Sandrine Louchart de la Chapelle
Sandrine Louchart de la Chapelle

Psychiatrist and geriatrician, Dr Sandrine Louchart de la Chapelle is head of the geriatrics department at the Princess Grace Hospital in Monaco. With a doctorate in life sciences, she is involved in a number of working groups devoted to advances in psychiatric and geriatric care. Specialising in neurocognitive and behavioural disorders, she actively contributes to research and teaching projects aimed at better understanding and treating these pathologies. She is also a member of the Scientific Council of the Société Française de Gériatrie et de Gérontologie, a member of the Board of Directors of the Société Francophone de Psychogériatrie et de Psychiatrie de la Personne Âgée, Vice-President of the Institut de Gérontologie des Alpes Maritimes, and General Secretary of the Association Monégasque pour la Recherche sur la Maladie d'Alzheimer.
